North Jakarta to Tighten Health Protocols in its Region

In the future, we will intensify it even more in public areas, but also in residential areas

The North Jakarta administration participated in a teleconference about 'Challenges of Behavior Change Towards New Habit Adaptation' in the VIP Room of the local mayor's office.

On that occasion, Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan urged city government to help change people's behavior in adopting new habits.

As a follow up it, the North Jakarta would tighten health protocols monitoring in its region. Besides public area, it also targeted a number of residential areas that were prone to an increase in COVID-19 cases.

North Jakarta Mayor Sigit Wijatmoko expressed the Governor said there were two important instruments in an effort to curb the disease. The first was the role of government through testing, tracing and treatment/isolation, as well as the role of the community.

"The role of the community is by wearing masks when leaving the house, washing hands frequently with soap and maintaining physical distancing," he stated, Monday (8/31).

In forming new habitual adaptations, he explained, the first thing to do was to disseminate information to the public about COVID-19 and how to deal with it. Moreover it had been done massively.

"In the future, we will intensify it even more in public areas, but also in residential areas," he stated.
